WHO IS JOHN HAUGLAND, AND HOW CAN HE HELP YOU BEING A BETTER RALLY DRIVER

 
 
1966 - 1972: Racing- and rally driver in Norway.

1971 - 1990: Professional driver for for SKODA in international rallies. 
                   He won his class in 106 international rallies and competed in 32 WRC-rallies.

1991 - 1995: Worked for NISSAN Motorsport Europe on WRC-events and with 
                   customer support related to rally car hire.

1995 - 1998: Developed the CHRYSLER NEON for circuit racing.
                   Co-ordinator for Neon Racing Cup in Norway.

1998 - 1999: Helped Petter Solberg to get to the WRC with M-sport, and looked after him on the events.

2000 - 2004: Developed the NISSAN ALMERA GTI rallies in Group N.
                   Co-ordinator for the NISSAN Rally Cup in Norway.

2004 - 2009: Co-ordinator for the PEUGEOT Super Cup in Norway.

John Haugland is educated as a car technician and has gained much experience and skill in developing racing cars.  He has been an important part in the development of the modern Rally-car after he retired from rally-driving.  He has monitored this development very closely.  He knows how to correct technical problems and improve the performance of rally cars.  This knowledge makes him a fluent teacher in practical and theoretical problems with Rally- and Racing-cars.

John Haugland has been a very skilled producer of pace-notes for rallies, and know everything about how important it is to personalise the pace-notes to different drivers in order to bring the crew and the car as fast and as safe as possible through a competition.  A part of his experience and knowledge is also related to personal preparation before an event, as improving the physical and mental conditions combined with nutrition advices.

More than 40 years of experience in international rallying and racing has given him a magnificent amount of contacts in all parts of the world and also made him able to solve most of the problems related to motor sports.

His ability to transfer his knowledge to his pupils at the Winter Rally School has resulted in
