WINTER RALLY SCHOOL

The school is training both racing and rally drivers, to drive in slippery conditions, by using snow and ice on a frozen lake and snow-covered special stages. On the lake there is snowbanks and run-off areas, and so there is less risk of damage to the cars. We run 2 types of courses : One to one tuition, where the driver has tuition tailor-made to his/her needs. Or 4 days courses. The format of the 4 days courses is that we have a maximum of 5 drivers.

We drive for the first 2 days on the track, and if appropriate the last 2 days on special stages. The hour of theory each day covers driving technique, set-up, personal preparation and pace-notes. All driving is under the regulations of the Norwegian Motorsport Authority, and normal safety equipment must be used ie overalls, helmets, roll-cages etc.

Only competition cars are authorised to be used. Instructors will sit in with the driver part of the time, so a helmet with intercom is necessary.

The school is based in Geilo at Bardøla Hotel and the tracks are 30 minutes drive away. Lunch is served at the track each day. Most drivers bring their own cars but rallycars are available for hire.

Geilo is 300 km. North West of Oslo. 3,5 hours by car and 4 hours by train.

You can fly to Oslo Gardermoen airport with scheduled major air companies, or Oslo Torp with Ryanair. From Torp it is 4 hours drive by hire car.

Other activities we have organised are car launches, corporate days, courses for driving enthusiasts, eg. Car clubs, groups of friends etc.
